The Spanish Atlantic coast (2/4): Cantabria and Navarre

Today, I would like to show you two more countries of Spain. Let's start with an area between the Basque Country and Asturias: Cantabria!

Actually only intended as a short stopover, we were able to visit some beautiful beaches and take some photos with us. We liked the beach of Arnia as well as the area around the island Virgen del Mar. Not only the beaches and the rocky coasts were stunning, but also the small but very rustic woods, whose trees were so densely overgrown as I had rarely seen before.

And finally I would like to show you pictures from a semi-desert of Navarre. Certainly a contrast to the previous pictures - many don't even know that such landscapes also exist in Europe. Especially the Unesco biosphere reserve "Bardenas Reales" knocked us down - a crazy landscape!

From a purely photographic point of view we were not sure whether the 500km detour into the interior would be worth it - the weather is of course often a bit too good for beautiful sky colours and simply cloudless. But we once caught a beautiful thunderstorm sky and another time a dreamlike sunrise.

Have fun now with this third part of my current Spain series.

Many greetings, Thomas
