Although this year’s main focus in my personal photo series was wildlife photography, I still managed to capture a few landscapes, structures, and details along the way that I didn’t want to keep from you.
Two highlights that immediately come to mind were a night near Laugar and, rather surprisingly, a photo session at one of Iceland’s most popular hotspots, Seljalandsfoss.
Around Laugar, the sky was painted with beautiful colors for hours. After photographing waterfalls and rivers, some of us were lucky enough to observe ptarmigans at close range. Afterwards, we moved a few minutes east and photographed a beautiful, moor-like landscape.
A few days later, at Seljalandsfoss, we were blessed with incredible light. I had been thinking about an ultra-wide-angle composition for quite some time, but it requires everything to come together perfectly. This year, it finally did. I got absolutely soaked in the process—well, actually, all of us did. 😅
There isn’t much more to say about this part of the journey. I hope you enjoy this third series, and the final installment will follow in a few days.
Best regards,
Thomas
