Recently, this year's winners of the international photo competition „Glanzlichter der Naturfotografie“ were awarded – and I am very happy to be one of them 😀
This year, nearly 17,000 images were submitted and less than 0.06% of the images were selected. With 3 of my pictures I made it to the finals (Top20) and in the category "Beauty of Plants" I finally made it, with my picture of the "Herbstbirke” (Autumn Birch).
I can still remember that morning very well: the sky showed already very warm colours around sunrise and illuminated the birch already clearly; the landscape lying behind it, however, lay lower and was much less illuminated – so that this beautiful colour contrast resulted.
Despite the difficult circumstances, the organizers have once again managed to put on the 23rd edition of this competition. My thanks and respect for that! This year, photographers from 37 countries around the world participated - congratulations to all the other winners as well!
As every year, the pictures will now be exhibited on a kind of „Roadshow“ in museums, zoos, nature parks, or fairs. Of course, this will be limited this year and I hope that the big festival can take place again soon.
I wish you a nice Sunday and many greetings,
