In this series we go from the big national parks of the south/east high into the north: the pictures of this series were taken directly at the coast, at well-known "classics" of the Lofoten, thus about 300km north of the polar circle.
Like last year in autumn, we had beautiful weather for travelling in Lofoten and also great light moods - the first two days there were still many clouds and short rain showers and then followed 8 days with almost Majorca weather 😅 It was even 2 degrees warmer on average than in our home country, and that above the Arctic Circle.
I especially remember one afternoon and evening in Reine, where we admired a fascinating sunset:
Especially on this island chain, we also used the time to relax - we were very lucky with our accommodation for this purpose and have rarely lived so beautifully as here on our travels in recent years - in this case on a small Norwegian house ("Rorbu"), which stands on stilts in the water.
In addition, we met Barbara, with whom we spent some time, laughed a lot and enjoyed the one or other northern lights night. She was also nice enough to lend us her kayak, which Christina tried out right away at Haukland beach:
