Iceland 2023 (Part 2): the art of winter

Today, I want to show you the second part of my Iceland series, where I had the pleasure of leading a group of nature enthusiasts to some great spots of the country in early March.

This series shows some details of exactly the landscapes I showed in part 1 - sometimes more sometimes less abstract. For all non-photographers I also write two explanatory sentences under the pictures.

The focus was on the ice details that were created due to the low temperatures with little precipitation, which were impressive to look at, especially at the large waterfalls. Due to the good weather, it was also possible to photograph them again and again with beautiful light reflections.

As I am still very attached to surfing and waves, I was especially happy about the conditions on the Dhyrolaey peninsula - finally I had the very first light here that illuminated the spray of the waves running very cleanly due to the offshore wind, I could have continued photographing here for hours and days.

And now I hope you enjoy the pictures,

Thomas

PS: a very special blog entry will follow shortly, so you can look forward to it! Because last week I ended up much further north than ever before😉
